no I haven't I don't want to spend more $$$ maybe if I sat down with someone and they showed me the benefits I might 'upgrade' I'm waiting for r.gold 2 release to come out before I buy anything.. the rep from gemvision/matrix is coming to my store to demo me ...lets see if I can work a 'deal'...I like the fact that in order to get better with matrix you need to get better with rhino that's where I'm at right now just trying to get better in rhino, the r.jewel has alot of short videos on their web site I forgot about that untill you mentioned it, I have to put it on the list to watch I always enjoy seeing how others design and use the commands are you a r.jewel user?

I downloaded the new eval copy of JewelCAD Pro. It looks quite nice. I would be interested in knowing if they did any work on fixing the .stl problem or if it is just a new graphical interface over the same program.

Pat. I think you have to stick with Rhino gold . The new version is coming out Feb 15. They say they got a lot of new stuff. Personally I have no idea. I haven't try it yet.

these are just beginners stuff... you already know these basics so you probably find them boring as I go very slow with simple stuff!... (however there are a few tricks here and there) ...I only worked up 4 hrs so far so the good stuff is still to come? but again all geared for beginners if you want I could send you a copy as long as you don't knock them too hard email me your address

Martin here are some video tuts from a friend of mine on 3dcad forum .
you can look at those compressed vid samples and if you like you can buy the full version for about 100$
lots of great tutorials for the money and very simple to learn with this guy.
here's the link
